NEW News!
Spring is in the air and I thought this would be a great time to let everyone know what’s happening here at the Artistic Pony Studio.
Just when I thought there was no more room to add more artists, we have added six!
Sharon Fuller brings beaded gemstones, pearls and crystals together to form clustered designs that are as creative as they are fun to wear.
Deon’s Designs bring a whole new dimention to beading. We all marvel at the amount of work that goes into each piece. Her beaded bracelets and rings are so comfortable to wear they are like fabric. Did I mention that her designs are gorgeous also?
Chelsea brings us sparkle! Her fused glass and dichroic pieces are imaginative and beautiful. She also has a line of very modern acrylic necklaces and earrings that are incredibly fun to wear!
Not to be out done, two artists are making wind chimes and wine bottle votives from recycled wine bottles. Bright, beautiful colors are brought together with a wonderful tinkling sound as the breezes blow. The wine bottle votives come in many colors and do really well in the wind with the candle protected. These pieces add that bit of ambiance to a summer evening on the deck.
There are many more exciting artists in the studio and we will be featuring them as we go.
Our web site is under going some changes that will make checking in with your favorite artist or getting to know the work of new artists easy. Add the web site to your favorites to follow our progress.
The Sparkle of October
October is known to have one of the most fascinating and mesmerizing birthstones of all, the Opal. These beautiful flickering gemstones have Greek origins from the word “Opalus”, meaning “change of color”. Opals are believed to have strong spiritual value and are thought to glow with extraordinary positive energy. They are considered to be an omen of hope and promise the wearer of this stone protection from impurities and bad health.
Today’s opals come in a wide range of fascinating colors, from fire-red to mesmerizing blue. We have some incredible handmade jewelry incorporating the brilliance of opal with stunning combinations of turquoise, red coral and lapis lazuli. This fabulous piece happens to be one of my favorites…
Come in to our store to see our full display of opal jewelry!!!
And if you’re looking for something special to be hand-designed by one of our local jewelers, come in and let me know what you think!
Soap Rocks!
Soap can be fun… and at The Artistic Pony Studio we want to offer fun and exciting gifts. Soap Rocks are a fun and functional gift. SoapRocks are replicas of the earth’s precious stones, made from mild, extra-lasting, vegetable glycerin soap. Like fresh air on different days, each variety has its own unique, light aroma. Up to 180 steps are necessary to recreate each soap rock.
SoapRocks are created with a unique blend of whole herb extracts, vitamins and minerals from aquatic, botanical and terrestrial sources, blended together into a gentle biodegradable base for each SoapRock.
Come in to The Artistic Pony Studio to see the entire selection of SoapRocks!
Turquoise Jewelry
Although an ancient stone, Turquoise finds itself always in fashion. The sky blue dreaminess of Turquoise is always one of the most fun fashionable trends.
These are just a couple of wonderful pieces that we carry at The Artistic Pony Studio, Ltd. Both of these pieces use Turquoise in the design and are an example of two different artists styles.
Turquoise comes from all over the world and personal preference will guide you as to whether you prefer the marbled appearance or the more modern look of the inlay. It may depend on your mood or the personality of the person who receives it as a gift. Either way, Turquoise is a stone that is a joy to wear. Feel free to come in and try on some of our jewelry!
